When Covid-19 began the Music Team at FCC Tacoma began to post weekly "Hymns of Hope." This album is a live recording of these hymns. This album also celebrates retiring Senior Pastor Barbara Blaisdell's ministry whose visionary leadership with other leadership at FCC and local community members during this time helped bring about a "Tiny Home Village" for families at risk of homelessness, as well as helping form the "Center for Spirituality and the Arts." (The album art conveys these legacies.) All donations from this album will go to a fund to support the Center for Spirituality and the Arts.

Many thanks to the generosity of the Congregation, the leadership, the staff, and committee members that supported in so many ways the creative vision and work that this project celebrates. We have all done this together and music has been an essential bond that has kept us together through this difficult year.

"Be Thou My Vision" was a favorite hymn of beloved Chancel Choir member Barbara Davidson who passed away in 2020. The music team would like to dedicate this song to the memory of the constant twinkle in her eyes, easy laughter and beautiful soprano voice. That great Choir in Heaven has been blessed with another beautiful soul and voice.
